“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost” (Luke 19:10). At the Last Supper, Jesus reminded his disciples, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should abide” (John 15:16).
God began looking for us before we could have even thought about seeking him. I love the way Curt Thompson said it: “We come into the world looking for someone looking for us.”
Author Barbara Radisavljevic explains, “The most important truth in Christianity is that God loves us enough to seek us out even before we start trying to find him.”
Recovery Step: Your job is not to find God, but to respond to the God who has found you.
