Mark and Beth Denison, married for 36 years, launched There’s Still Hope as a national movement to call men and women into lives of sexual integrity. Their ministry offers 90-day recovery plans for addicts and one-on-one and group coaching for addicts and their spouses. TSH also produces resources for pastors and churches to confront the porn epidemic that is destroying so many lives.
Dr. Denison was a senior pastor for over 30 years, NBA chaplain, and board chairman at Houston Baptist University three times. With a Master’s Degree in Addiction Recovery, Mark is a certified PSAP and active member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
Mark has written four books on recovery: Porn in the Pew, 365 Days to Sexual Integrity, A 90-Day Recovery Guide, and 40 Days to Porn-Free Living. His latest book, Jesus on the 12 Steps, will be released later this year.
In 1599, William Kempe parted ways with William Shakespeare’s acting company and began his own career. In order to draw attention, he danced his way from London to Norwich in just three weeks. Let’s talk about it – the power of dancing. Psalm 149:3 says, “Let them praise his name with dancing.” What is so…
Hebrews 10:36 “You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.” In 1931, America was in the depths of the Great Depression. A young entrepreneur named Conrad Hilton wasn’t just staring foreclosure in the face. He was borrowing money from bellhops to make…
“He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers – all of them skilled workers and designers” (Exodus 35:35). Longitudinal studies have shown that as we age, the cognitive center of gravity tends to shift from the…
Do you remember the story of the plagues in Exodus? In chapter 8, we read that God sent frogs so torment Egypt. Then we read this amazing account: “Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, ‘Pray to the Lord to take the frogs away from me and my people, and I will let your people…
On this date in 1899, F.O. Stanley did the unthinkable. He became the first person to drive a car to the top of Mount Washington, in New Hampshire. Within a few years, that car would be outdated, with the emerging Stanley Steamer (bearing his name), which clocked a speed of 127 miles per hour in…

She invited Joseph, “Come to bed with me” (Genesis 39:7). Typically, the word that would be used to refer to a…

I have spent the better part of my 64 years trying to find something men are better at than women. I finally found it. Ready for this? Men are 23 percent more likely to be left-handed than women. Finally, something men are better at than women. I know that’s a stretch. But it’s true. Generally…
Let’s dive into some useless trivia that you are sure to tell your friends. I love trivia. It’s fun to know something that other people don’t know. But there is one thing we must know, above all else. “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection” (Philippians 3:10). Do you know Christ?…
Focus more on what you control and less on the results. I have always been an avid tennis fan. Several years ago, there was an American player who helped reinstall good sportsmanship into the American game. I grew up watching Jimmy Connors and John McEnroe. I found their antics entertaining, for sure. But not everyone…
